Some more beautiful artwork on display in our school, this time from the talented artists in Year 1! Their topic is 'Rio de Vida!', and they've been studying the legend of Vitoria-Regia - talking about what happens in the story and using pictures to aid recall, before sequencing the story’s events using pictures or sentence cards. It's a fascinating activity which as well as helping the children to become very familiar with key stories, fairy stories and traditional tales, retelling them and considering their particular characteristics, also provides the opportunity for some amazing artwork! The picture shows pictures of the beautiful Vitória-Régia water lily - well done Year 1!
