Our wonderful Reception children are having a great time this week as they are planning and creating their very own fairy stories! Using story maps to plan their ideas to writing (all on their own!) about some of their ideas, it's a great project which supports the children in developing a love of reading and it encourages children to learn, retell and act out familiar and traditional tales. In this case, the children are going on to make their own puppets so they can present their stories as shows! It's a lovely way to explore and create using a wide range of materials and components, including upcycled materials, construction kits, textiles and ingredients.
