Our children enjoyed a wonderful couple of days of poetry and laughs with top poet and friend of the school Ian Bland this week. He had the staff and children in stitches during a whole Key Stage assembly with his clever, hilarious poems (highlights included 'The DinnerLady Dance' and 'The Cowboy Teacher'!) and the mix of action poems, repeating poems and more inspired our children to explore and get super-creative with their own poetry. Luckily for them, Ian was on hand to help all day, as he ran a series of excellent workshops with each year group in school. What a brilliant couple of days - thankyou Ian, we can't wait for you to come back and visit us again!
