Our Year 1 pupils enjoyed a magical time in the woods of Milntown earlier this week, where they listened to Manx storyteller Maire Stephens tell the tales of the Buggane of St Trinians and the Buggane of Glen Maye. While they were there, the children also used 'spotter sheets' to identify the different kinds of trees and created some terrific bark rubbings, too! We're so grateful to Maire for giving us her time to inspire our pupils - you can hear her speak at lots of Manx National Heritage Events! She said of our pupils, "The children were fabulous, so well-behaved and attentive. It really was a pleasure!" - it was for us too, Maire!
