Our Reception children had a blast yesterday as they spent some time with the amazing team from our local Fire Station! The children found out all about the role of a firefighter as part of their topic 'Do You Want To Be Friends?' - which covers lots of important things like friendship, being kind and helpful, cooperation, similarities and differences and, of course, people who help us!
Our friendly neighbourhood firefighters were happy to let the children sit in the cab of the Fire Engine, take turns with the hose and try their hand at the different equipment! Thanks so much for an excellent afternoon!
