We're getting something very special ready to form part of our remembrance next month! The whole school, from Reception to Year Six, is helping to create a beautiful poppy mosaic - you can see how it's coming along in the picture! We're delighted to be working with artist Elaine Edge all this week to produce this fantastic piece to commemorate the one hundredth anniversary of the end of World War One.
As well as specialising in Mosaic art pieces, Elaine also owns ‘Wonderwalls’ (paper flower backgrounds designed for photographic shoots at weddings, corporate events, magazine covers etc). She gets very involved in Tynwald day hosting mosaic activities for children during the day. Last week Elaine came to school and collected the initial designs for the mosaic which were created by our Year Six pupils. She took these away and used their ideas to incorporate into the final design. She is very excited to be working alongside the children and to be a part of our World War One Centenary celebrations for Ramsey. Have a look at her Facebook page (Ellie Mosaics and Ellie Wonderwalls) to get the idea of the kind of work she does.
