As part of their Blue Abyss topic at Bunscoill Rhumsaa, the children enjoyed a fascinating hands‑on “fishy” experience that brought art and science together in a very memorable way. They were captivated by watching the art of filleting and exploring the structure of a fish, deepening their understanding of biology while gathering ideas to support their detailed artwork. A big thank you to Dee from North Harvest, our friendly fishmonger, for sharing expertise that gave the children a valuable insight into this skilled profession, and to Scales for their help in providing the fish. It was a rich, engaging experience that sparked curiosity, careful observation and thoughtful discussion throughout the day.
