Our Year 2 children loved being joined by mums, dads and grandparents this afternoon, as they were all invited to an exhibition of some of the beautiful artwork our children have produced during their topic this term, "Muck, Mess and Mixtures!'. On top of that, we had a whole lot of art and craft activities available for families to work on together, letting our children share the skills they'd learned with their guests! With Christmas music playing, wonderful art on display and lots of creative hands beavering away to make brand new pieces, it was a great atmosphere - thanks to everyone for coming along and making a special afternoon!

This marks the end of this terrific topic, which has taught our children about amazing materials and colour, and developed their knowledge of how to mix colours and apply materials to create unique pieces of art.

It's also included some lovely Science investigations, including; Which stuff is stickier? How is mud made? What shape is a bubble?
