It was our huge pleasure to get involved with a terrific community project here in Ramsey this week, as our Year 6 children got stuck in with helping the team from Hartford Homes and the Manx Wildlife Trust to plant the new micro-forest at Royal Park! As you can see in this video, the children thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to learn about how the micro-forest will create a beautiful new wildlife area in Ramsey, and to really get down to some hard work on the site - it was a wonderful day! Kicking off with a great assembly and workshop from Andre Dubbeldam from the Manx Wildlife Trust, the children then made their way to the site to join the Hartford Homes crew to create the first stage of this exciting project. The children were buzzing, and so happy to be a part of something which I am sure will benefit the town for years to come.
