Here is just some of the beautiful artwork our pupils have been preparing while they have been enjoying their topic 'Fallen Fields'. It's been such an interesting project, with our pupils researching questions such as: What started this global tragedy? What was life like for families on the home front as they waited for news of loved ones who were ‘missing in action’? How did the soldiers endure the terrible conditions in the trenches? How was a fragile peace finally achieved?
This morning, our Year 6 pupils are leading a special Remembrance Assembly for the school and invited guests, where they will share what they have learned, discuss the symbolism of the poppy and unveil our incredible mosaic, a stunning piece of artwork to which every pupil in the school has contributed.
