Weaving our way into 2019!

What better way to start to understand our Viking past than by learning the same skills as Viking children would have done, all those years ago?

Our Year 4 children got their 'Traders and Raiders' topic off to flying start this week with an excellent session of Viking-style weaving! We were taught the ways of weaving by Sue Quilliam, whose knowledge and passion for her subject really rubbed off on the children! As ever, our pupils were keen to try new things, and as you can imagine, it took plenty of concentration, imagination and the desire to push yourself to be successful - luckily, our children have those qualities in spades!
