Hola Mexico!

¡Nuestros estudiantes son tan inteligentes! It's Mexican Mocktail Day in Year 6! And as you can see, it's a festival atmosphere in the classrooms as the children prepare their delicious drinks to enjoy at this afternoon's fiesta! It's the highlight of an excellent project, in which our children have learned about the ancient Mayan civilisation and how their environment, beliefs, architecture and mathematical knowledge made the Maya one of the most sophisticated ancient civilisations - as well as how to concoct a traditional fruit cocktail! As well as leading to some beautiful writing and artwork, this project has also meant our children have looked at the importance of a healthy diet, learnt about nutrition and shown some cracking collaboration!
