These beautiful water colour paintings of Tudor galleons have been created by the children in Year 5 - and quite rightly they are very proud of them! It's all part of their current topic 'Off With Her Head!', which looks at all aspects of the Tudor world. Here, as part of the Art programme of study, the children have practised painting small details using fine brushes and magnifying glasses, evaluating and refining techniques to paint a miniature water colour of a fascinating subject - the galleon! Once completed, the children have taken the time to compare their work with others and make observations about the similarities and differences - great learning, and some beautiful paintings! Very well done Year 5!
