We love these beautiful pictures from our Year 2 children! They've been challenged to evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design. To do that, they've been looking at Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers' painting and trying out their own versions, learning about materials and techniques that are well suited to different tasks, including ink; smooth paper and polystyrene blocks for printing; hard and black pencils and cartridge paper for drawing lines and shading; poster paints, large brushes and thicker paper for large, vibrant paintings - just like the ones in the picture! Wonderful work, well done Year 2 - and thanks for brightening up our walls!
