This week, Mrs Swift and Miss Clark hosted an informative workshop for parents and carers, sharing how we teach literacy across the school. The session explored our approach from Reception through Year 2, where we have successfully used Monster Phonics for the past five years, replacing the previous ‘Letters and Sounds’ programme. Parents also learned how our wider Literacy Curriculum is built on the strong foundation of Cornerstones Maestro, ensuring a rich and engaging experience for all learners.
The workshop was packed with practical information, helpful hints, and tips to support children’s reading and writing at home. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and joined the discussion, and a special thank you goes to Mrs Swift and Miss Clark for leading such a valuable session. For those who couldn’t make it, don’t worry - we’ll be running the workshop again later in the school year. It’s a great opportunity to see how we support early literacy and how you can help your child thrive.
