At Bunscoill Rhumsaa, we believe that every child deserves to feel happy, included, and inspired to learn. This page is here to give you a clear picture of how we’re doing as a school and what we’re working on next. You’ll find our latest attainment data and our most recent External Validation (October 2025).

You can read the Parent and Carer Information following the external validation visit in full here: Rhumsaa_Validation_Parent_Carer_Information.pdf

Some of the school's strengths include:

  • A caring, inclusive ethos that runs through everything we do, creating a calm and purposeful environment where children love to learn.
  • Strong partnerships with organisations like Isle Listen and Young Engineers, bringing exciting opportunities for learning and wellbeing.
  • Our Special Provision Centre (SPC), with its curriculum carefully designed to make sure every child is supported and can thrive.
  • Our skilled team of support staff who work together closely to help children thrive in their learning and overall development.
  • A broad, engaging curriculum where children feel proud of their learning and have real opportunities to lead and share their voice.
  • Thoughtful use of assessment to help every child make progress and to guide our improvement priorities.

The report also gave us some helpful pointers for the future, which match our own improvement plans:

  • Helping children take even more ownership of their learning and understand their next steps.
  • Making sure pupil voice continues to shape what and how they learn.
  • Developing the leadership potential across our staff team.
  • Sharing best practice so that great ideas spread across the school.

We’re excited about these priorities because they build on what we already do well and will make our school even better for your children. Thank you for being part of this journey with us - your support and feedback make a huge difference.
