Year 6 | Britain At War

Published Thursday 5 October 2023

Our Year 6 children have started their year with the fascinating topic 'Britain at War', with the pupils learning about the causes, events and consequences of the First and Second World Wars, the influence of new inventions on warfare, how life in Great Britain was affected and the legacy of the wars in the post-war period. Along the way, as you can see above there are some super opportunities for developing both narrative and non-narrative writing, as well as some wonderful, poignant artwork using water colours. A fabulous start to Year 6!
