Our Year 5 children have travelled back in time to the 1500's, to find out all about Tudor times and the dynasty that changed our history! Our pupils have enjoyed being able to create a timeline of Henry VIII’s marriages and generate research questions, such as ‘Why did he marry six times?’ and ‘Which was his longest marriage?’, and created their own timelines of each, showing great research skills, knowledge and presentation skills! In English, they have also found out about one of the great Tudor pastimes - creating and solving riddles! This has involved looking at double meanings, wordplay and metaphors, and being able to use those to write in a specific way for a defined purpose. Top work, Year 5!
