Year 4 | Invasion!

Watch out! The Vikings are invading Year 4! Our pupils are having a great time finding out about this fascinating, important part of our Manx history - learning about some key parts of our heritage through practical, 'hands-on' activities; just look at that beautiful weaving in the pictures above! There's some beautiful artwork from learning about the Viking longships, and the children are also writing reports from the point of view of a Manxman watching the Vikings arrive! Our pupils are looking at the everyday lives of Vikings, and those who were here before them, as well as using maps to discover where the Vikings came from, and where they landed! A fantastic topic steeped in our own traditions and lore, this is one I'm sure the children will remember!
